Sizes in the series

ER32 collets are marked with their range, largest to smallest: collet 20–19 holds shanks from 19 to 20 mm.

How to choose the collet

Take the collet whose range includes the shank diameter, ideally close to the collet's maximum: the grip is longer and runout lower. A 11 mm shank in ER32 needs collet 11–10.

Beyond the standard 20 mm, some makers offer special ER32 collets up to 22 mm.

Clamping and care

Snap the collet into the nut before fitting it to the chuck, then tighten with the wrench and torque given by the chuck maker. Keep collet and taper clean: one chip or dirty oil film is enough to lose runout.

Other ER collets

Clamping ranges to DIN 6499 / ISO 15488 and the REGO-FIX ER system catalogue; body dimensions as in published ER charts. The collet maker's catalogue is what counts.

Type the shank diameter: see which collet fits, in every ER size.
